Very Solid Show
Luna still totally rock live, though their music has noticeably changed, especially with "Light Grenades." Brandon's voice is still outstanding, and the songs they played sounded great. The set was heavily composed of "Light Grenades" hits, which is understandable because it is their latest release and it has several hits that newer fans want to hear. Only one song from "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." was played, and it was "Redefine," a song they play regularly. My only gripe with the show is simply the fact that they didn't stray from their comfort zone at all. They nearly only played radio hits or fan favorites from "Make Yourself," "Morning View," "A Crow...." and "Light Grenades." I was waiting for them to change the vibe for at least just ONE song and bust out "...Shade Of Green" or "Hilikus" or even "Privilege" or "Clean" from "Make Yourself," or any random, lesser known but classic song from their repertoire along those lines. However, they did not play one old song I wasn't expecting, and for a longtime, dedicated fan, this was a bit disappointing. I'm sure the band is proud of the record, and what I did hear, I absolutely did truly enjoy.
